These terms govern your use of Percol. Using the service means accepting them.
2. What Percol is — and what it is not
Percol is simulation software. You enter figures about your own situation; Percol projects what they imply over time under Belgian rules (capital-gains tax, mortgage amortisation, registration duties, pension pillars) and shows the results as trajectories and comparisons.
Percol is not:
- not investment advice, and not a recommendation. We never tell you what to do, never rank your options as better or worse, and never name a specific financial product, fund, ETF, share, insurer, bank or property. We show what your assumptions imply, side by side, and expose which assumption is doing the work;
- not a regulated financial service. We are not an investment firm, not an insurance or credit intermediary, not a payment institution, not a bank. We hold no client money and execute no transactions. Percol is not authorised by and not supervised by the FSMA or the National Bank of Belgium, and does not need to be, because it sells software rather than advice or intermediation;
- not a tax return, and not a tax filing service;
- not a promise. Every output is an estimate produced by a model from assumptions you control. Markets, laws and lives all deviate from models.
If you need advice, see a licensed adviser, an accountant, a notary or a lawyer. Percol is a tool for thinking, and for arriving at that conversation better prepared.
3. Accuracy of the rules, and of the results
We implement Belgian rules carefully, test each of them against the texts, and show on every page the date the rules were last verified. Even so:
- laws change, and our implementation may lag;
- the model is deliberately simplified in ways we state in the interface (each simulator lists its own simplifications);
- the figures you enter are yours. Garbage in, garbage out: we cannot check whether your inputs are true.
You remain responsible for decisions you make. To the extent the law permits, we do not accept liability for a decision taken on the basis of a simulation (see §10).
4. Accounts
You may use the free simulator without an account. An account requires only an email address; we sign you in with a one-time code (no password). You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox. Tell us at hello@percol.studio if you believe someone else has reached your account.
You must be 18 or older and use Percol for your own personal purposes.
5. Free and paid
Free, and staying free: the simulator, saving your work, and up to two scenarios with the comparison view.
Paid access unlocks the decision simulators (loan, multi-year capital gains, rental property vs market), unlimited scenarios, and the full comparison. Two options, both one-off payments in euros, VAT included:
| Price | Duration | |
|---|---|---|
| Decision Pass | €19 | 30 days of full access |
| Annual access | €59 | 12 months of full access |
Neither renews automatically. There is no subscription and no recurring charge: when the period ends, access simply stops, and nothing is taken from your card. Your saved figures and scenarios remain yours and stay accessible; only the paid simulators lock again.
Prices may change for future purchases; a change never affects access you have already paid for.
6. Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.. We never see or store your card details. Access opens as soon as the payment is confirmed. An invoice is available on request at hello@percol.studio.
7. Right of withdrawal, and our refund promise
You are buying digital content delivered immediately. Under Belgian and EU consumer law (Book VI, Code of Economic Law, transposing Directive 2011/83/EU), the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content lapses once performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose that right — which is what you confirm at checkout.
We give it back to you anyway. For 14 days after your purchase, ask at hello@percol.studio and we refund you in full, no questions, no justification — whether or not you have used the simulators. Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 5 working days. Access ends on refund.

8. Acceptable use
Do not: resell or redistribute access; scrape, or automate use beyond normal personal use; attempt to bypass the paid gate; overload or attack the service; use Percol to break the law. The assistant carries usage limits per day to keep it free for everyone.
We may suspend an account that does one of these. If we suspend an account that holds paid access, and the suspension is our error, we refund it.
9. Availability
We aim to keep Percol running, but promise no particular uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue paid features you have paid for, we refund the unused portion pro rata.
10. Liability
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else the law forbids us from excluding, nor any mandatory consumer rights you hold under Belgian law.
Subject to that: Percol is provided as is; we exclude implied warranties to the extent permitted; and our total liability towards you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or losses arising from decisions you take (§2, §3).
11. Intellectual property
Percol, its interface, its engine and its content belong to Tekton SRL. Your figures and scenarios belong to you; you licence them to us only to run the service for you (see the Privacy Policy). You may use Percol's output freely for your own purposes.
12. Data
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Law, disputes, complaints
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes go to the courts of Bruxelles, Belgium, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own place of residence.
Complaint first: hello@percol.studio — we would much rather fix it. Consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or contact the Belgian Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur / Consumentenombudsdienst (mediationconsommateur.be).
